I suppose I will listen to this. Lots of people predicted this outcome in Russia when the “Chicago Boys” put their Free Market theories to the test, again. Concentration of wealth, and everything that goes along with it has been the result. Does it look a little bit familiar? From NPR.

History seems to get lost quickly these days. In my lifetime, southern Baptists were very much pro-choice. From Bill Moyer’s, way back in 2014. I quibble a bit with his analysis. It was mostly a move to consolidate political power, in a country where religions are not supposed to have political power.

I have been saying for a while that the worldwide political unrest is caused by the internet. More specifically, the widespread use of the internet on mobile phones using applications like Facebook. This is to today’s world what the printing press was to Martin Luther’s. Ex-CIA analyst Martin Gurri has been studying this for over a decade and has some good points. I may have to get his 2014 book.

Almost too much of a coincidence. Look who greeted me this morning. Ivanka! The cats were not amused. We live on an acre and I found the centipede on the driveway up by the road. I’m very surprised she made it to the house, much less into the house.

Found this fellow on the front lawn. Maybe 8″ long. Thought it was a snake at first. Texas State Parks posted a photo of a similar one on Twitter recently.

103 Bits of Advice I Wish I Had Known

So much to say about this. Homeowners in large Texas cities are getting hit hard with property tax increases. I suppose when there is no income tax and business gets off light, somebody needs to keep things running. Seems like a massive amount of extra income for the state. I wonder what they will do with all that money?
