I read (or mostly skim) The Communications of the ACM (CACM).   I almost always stop to read the question and answer page by George Neville-Neil a.k.a “Kode Vicious”.  It’s usually a deep topic on software or system development and the writing is usually a bit cynical and more than a bit humorous.  KV seems to be a guy who has Seen Things.  Today he gives his take on Artificial Intelligence (AI).  Summary: it’s another software tool / technique that will automate some things.  That is what software always does. A good read.
