This is an experimental alternate to Facebook and Instagram.  In the past I have used Facebook mostly to keep up with the goings on of friends and family, and also as a sort of archive for photos, articles and things that interest me.  While the Facebook platform is very well done, I have never been comfortable with the privacy issues or some of the ways people interact.  I don’t plan on leaving Facebook, at least not immediately, but I will be posting most of my content to my ‘alt-Facebook’ blog for now.

About me: I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA but spent much of my adult life in Austin, TX.  I am a retired electrical engineer and spent most of my career in tech specializing in compute acceleration.  My technology interests these days tends to be around renewable energy, especially home solar.
